When replacing or installing an air spring, the respective instructions must be observed, as incorrect installation can lead to irreparable damage to the new part and/or vehicle. Ensure that only professionally qualified and trained personnel replace an air spring and that the applicable safety regulations are observed. Make sure that BILSTEIN air spring
should only be renewed in pairs (per axis).
Observe the vehicle manufacturer's instructions for all work steps (e.g. mounting points, venting and filling the air spring with the appropriate diagnostic device, replacement of bolts and self-locking nuts, tightening torques, standard height, lifting mode, etc.). Never use power tools during assembly, e.g. pneumatic screwdrivers.
